The 2021 Rotary Henley on Todd Regatta Event Postponed
Organisers of the NT’s most iconic community event wish to advise the postponement of the 2021 Rotary Henley on Todd Regatta event until 2022.
In its sixty-year history the event has only been cancelled twice before, when the river had the audacity to flood, and due to last year’s COVID 19 mitigation measures.
Sadly, last year’s extremely unexpected circumstances have had a disruptive, lingering effect on planning for the 2021 event, which prevents it from going ahead this year.
We are disappointed to bring you this news and we ask that you understand that this decision has NOT been taken lightly.
We look forward to delivering a fantastic event in 2022, and will carry over our 60th Anniversary celebrations from this year to make next year extra special.

Join In The Fun At The 2021 Rotary Henley On Todd In Alice Springs NT Australia
The Rotary Henley on Todd Regatta is a fun, quirky and eclectic ‘boat’ race held each year on the dry sandy bed of the Todd River in Alice Springs, Australia – it’s the only dry river boating Regatta in the world.
Regatta attendees compete in ‘boat’ races in the style of the Flintstones: holding a lightweight boat frame and running around the buoy and back to the finish line. The finale of the day is known as the Battle of the boats. As one of our past crew members described it “it’s the best water fight I have been in my life!” The 3 motorised boats are each loaded with canons that fire off with plenty of colour, water cannons and water bombs. The winner is decided by you – our crowd!
Regatta attendees are strongly encouraged to join in and participate in the wide variety of events on offer during the Regatta. There are events for everyone including plenty for the kiddies.

Awesome as always!!! This has to be one of the best events in Alice for a good family friendly day out!! I’ve told many of friends that if they ever come through Alice to make it around this time as they’ll have the best laugh ever! Bring on next year!!!.
